About this listen

Athena wakes up in hell.

Well...it’s an alien slave ship, but it might as well be hell because she only has three choices.

Mate. Become a sex slave. Or be killed.

Great options.

Desperate for freedom, a chance for survival is presented in the handsome rogue alien called Xul.

But Xul is caught up in problems of his own and a mission he cannot afford to let fail - one that could be easily compromised if he dared open his heart.

That doesn't leave her with many options and it doesn't help that she finds him utterly frustrating....

....and strong, hot, irresistible....

She shouldn’t really be thinking about him like that. Should she?

Xul is a stand-alone book that contains delightfully steamy scenes with a guaranteed happily-ever-after, possessive alpha males, and strong female leads. There is no forced mating between the hero and heroine and no cliffhanger. It is the first book in the Captured by Aliens sci-fi alien romance series.

I really enjoyed enjoyed this book, although it was an alien abduction, I couldn't help but feel Athena ans Xul's romance had a 'sweet' feel to it, which was a pleasant change! The premise was good, vile aliens abducting captives for auction, evil overlords, with plenty of action fighting weird aliens. The heroine Athena was pretty good at fighting her way out of some dire situations, Xul has a heart breaking past, together can they free the other captives?! I can't wait for book 2.

I love a happy ending!

This story is extremely well written and narrated. It has action, adventure, suspense, intrigue and romance. This storyline had me from the beginning, biting my nails hoping she would escape. This is an intense storyline that had me rooting for the heroine of the book. The narrator does a fabulous job with the characters and voices of each character which makes it easy to distinguish between the characters. This narrator has a way with projecting the emotions of the characters.

This is a terrific sci-fi alien abduction romance! I absolutely loved the world-building and characters! The narration by B.N. Love was superb, giving an extra flair to the story. It will keep you entertained. This was my first book by this author but definitely will not be my last. I will be reading the other books in this series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I read this when it first came out on Kindle unlimited and I throughly enjoyed the way the story line flowed. I am now reviewing it as an audio book; although I have not finished listening to it, as life is extremely hectic, I am about a third of the way in and so far I give A plus. The narrator is doing a marvellous job and you feel as if you are there in the book with the characters. The only downside but this is more of a personal preference on my part and not anything against the narrator, but I do like the male characters to be read by men. As I said this is more a personal preference, however I feel this would add to the overall feel for the story.

Brilliant
