The theme of adoption, theme of trust and keeping secrets, the theme of rejection. The fact that the story is not about a couple who have just met, but about the struggles of a couple who have been together for ten years, when the honeymoon is over and, if you're not careful, you start taking each other for granted.
The narrator too suited this story, the different voices were distinct and just how I imagined the characters to be.
This is certainly an audio book I will be going back to.
