What did you like best about FREE Yesterday's Gone: Season 1 - Episode 1? What did you like least?

It was free which was great and it's an interesting story line but it drags on and takes forever to get to the actual point.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I didn't like the ending especially after how long it took to get there.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

The narrator was great, very clear and loud enough and didn't go too fast.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

No.

OK

I found this book to be a completely entertaining listen. I cant think of another book which has pulled me in the way that this did. Something else I liked was the unique way the story was written. So I would recommend this book.

Unique.

Would you try another book written by Sean Platt and David Wright or narrated by the narrators?

No.

If you’ve listened to books by Sean Platt and David Wright before, how does this one compare?

Not applicable.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

the use of multiple narrators allows for a sensible separation of the multiple threads. The fay voice for the 8 yr-old is, however, a mistake.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

No.

Any additional comments?

If this episode is to serve as an introduction to the series and make you want more, then in my case, it fails. That use of multiple narrators, whilst good to keep track of the stories, doesn't hide obvious shortcomings in them. I couldn't get sufficiently interested in any of the characters to care about their fates.

This is a shame, as the synopsis was interesting.

Unsatisfactory, Strange. The premise was promising

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

It's alright but I wouldn't recommend it unless they are fans of Lost. The story is quite abstract and it's been told so that literally anything is plausible.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Most interesting: I suppose that idea that 99% of the population disappear at a certain moment in time. Least interesting: The last scene's characters were very cringe-worthy. Made me will it to end. Also with the constant switching of character perspective's I lost concentration of who was important and who to have any emotional attachment to.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Narration was adequate. The pace of the story was quite slow.

Was FREE Yesterday's Gone: Season 1 - Episode 1 worth the listening time?

I'd say for about 70% of it. The other 30% I had enough and wanted to finish.

Any additional comments?

Given that this is a free taster and having tasted what this series is about; I'm not too sure if I would want to listen to any more.

Almost like "Lost" with a broad plot potential

Interesting plot and great performances by multiple voice actors. Think The Walking Dead minus the zombies.
