Now that peace has been restored in San Francisco, Peyton and Marco are focused on their lives together. As Peyton takes on a leadership position with the Ghost Squad, Marco contemplates moving beyond the precinct into a political career.

As a truck driver I listen to these throughout the day the story line is fantastic the characters are brilliant, I just can’t get enough of Peyton brooks and of course Marco baby

There are series that a reader enjoys and then there are series that a reader commits to. In the second instance, it usually involves waiting on tenterhooks for new releases and then pre-ordering the new books without needing to read the blurb. It also includes dropping everything to listen to the book as soon as it appears in the Audible app. This series is it for me. And this book was so worth the wait!

Peyton Brooks, Marco D'Angelo, The Ghost Team, the Precinct, Abe, the rest of our favourite characters are back! Peyton and Marco are comfortably preparing for their Peanut to make an appearance and for Marco's mayoral candidacy but only until a Yeti makes an appearance at a murder in Whistler, Canada and the dead body of a young nursing student is found in San Francisco. Their careers take them on new adventures. Big decisions need to be made and murderers found but one can always count on this dynamic duo to accomplish the needful, even when they aren't a team.

As always, the ML Hamilton-Kelley Hazen author-narrator combination is stellar. Kelley performs the whole series to perfection and with a dedicated consistency that makes me forget that I am listening to one person. She is the voice of Marco, Abe, Peyton, Maria and all the rest and each person is given a unique voice that matches their character and personality.

I loved this audiobook and cannot wait for the next book in the series!
