Excellent story with colourful characters. Karen Rose is a genius at making you want the best. I love the way at least one character has been in a previous book so you already know a bit about them. It makes it easier to get straight into the book.

The chapters are in the wrong order, with the final chapter coming in the middle of chapter 13! Otherwise a good story.

love Karen Rose I'm a real fan think this was the worst book I ever listened to the narrors voice was awful her tone of voice never changed for any of the characters.

This was a long story, the goodies were so good they became completely unbelievable, and the entire strand involving the PI could easily have been cut. Not one of her best

Ok, but the romance was unbelievable

Acquaintances of the local mortuary doctor are getting bumped off. Like most K Rose books, the male power figure brought in to help, cop/fireman etc ends up falling for the damsel in distress. There is something linking the doctor's past to these killings, but can they work out what it is, before it's too late?
