About this listen

The sequel to 'YOU INVITED IT IN' by Sarah Jules.

They thought it was over.

Six months after the events of YOU INVITED IT IN, world-renowned parapsychologist Emmanuel Stark releases a video sent to him by Lilith Lavelle, claiming it shows *proof* of an afterlife.

The video goes viral.

Asher Eastwood finds himself at the epicentre of a media frenzy, one that puts him in danger.

To escape the too-eager reporters and paranormal enthusiasts, Asher, his uncle Eli, and their dog Specs flee to a holiday let in the middle of nowhere.

The only problem is, they’re not alone.

Kill the host, kill the demon.

I haven’t read the first book (You Invited It In) in this series, but this one still made perfect sense on its own. The story gives you enough background without slowing things down, and the characters are really interesting. It’s well written and kept me hooked the whole way through. Kevin E. Green does a great job with the narration, clear voice and easy to listen to. A twisty thriller with a dark vibe, recommended.

Loved it all start to finish. Jules' writing draws you in and makes you really care about the main characters and the narration was simply perfect.

This was so good, I was genuinely sad when it finished.
The story WAS scary, but it was more than that. It was compelling because the way the author has written about the family dynamic, effect of the outside world viewing the story etc is absolutely believable. You can imagine it happening to YOU which is probably a big part of making it so readable/ listenable.
I really hope there’s more to come from this author. I’ve already listened to her other books, so can’t wait for what she releases next.
