I don't know if I have audhd I have recently been diagnosed with adhd at 30 years old. I liked that the advise includes not having to adhere to social norms but in a way that won't make you feel socially outcast. I find social situations really anxiety inducing. And I've always forced my self to do things even when I'm really uncomfortable but as you say it can cause burn out. Yesterday I saw how busy a cafe my partner works in was and I said no I'm simply not going in. Not because I didn't want to go but because I knew I needed my social battery for seeing my partners family an hour later. So I sat in the car instead for a whole hour. And how liberating that felt. And it meant I had the energy to then be active with our children and not feel completely socially drained after seeing my partners family.

I love this advice
