Everyone thinks about the trapped people in the towers, and the people on the hi-jacked planes. This series really brings home the impact of 9/11 on everyone from the firefighters, police and heroes, to the children from the nearby schools. The most heart reaching for me is to hear about the impact that 9/11 continues to have today. The illnesses, cancer, early deaths, PTSD and the survivors guilt. The story I found the most emotional, was of the firefighter who served his first day on a fire at 9/11, he felt he was unremarkable but in truth, his story, the lasting effect of 9/11, really bought home to me how much pain that day continues to bring.
