In this opening episode of our new series on anxiety, Rebecca and Paul begin at the foundation: confidence.

Anxiety often exposes where our trust has quietly been placed. We put confidence in people, in predictable circumstances, in our own strength, or in the illusion of control — and when those things shake, our hearts shake with them. But Scripture continually calls us to something deeper and steadier: confidence in the Lord.

Together, we explore how true hope for the anxious heart is not found in better circumstances, stronger self-confidence, or simply trying harder to “calm down.” Real peace begins when our confidence rests in the unchanging character of God Himself.

Whether anxiety comes in sudden waves or has lingered for years, this series is designed to walk carefully and honestly through the treasure trove of truth God has given us in His Word. Our prayer is that these conversations will not merely provide information about anxiety, but will help lead weary hearts toward lasting hope, deeper surrender, and greater confidence in Christ.

In this follow-up episode of The Guide Service Podcast, Paul Turner continues the discussion on redeeming the time by asking a challenging question:

Using the incredible story of Erik Weihenmayer—the blind adventurer who summited Mount Everest and conquered countless other challenges—Paul examines how limitations sometimes create greater focus, discipline, and purpose than abundance ever could.

Sitting in his chariot, reading from Isaiah the prophet, the eunuch becomes a picture of what believers should be doing with their downtime: pursuing God.

Along the way, Paul humorously imagines a T-shirt that says:

“Be a Eunuch!”

Not because of what the man was physically—but because of what he was spiritually: hungry, intentional, and redeeming his time wisely.

This episode is a convicting and practical reminder that time is life, distractions are costly, and purpose does not happen by accident.

In this second and final part of the Know Your Enemy series on the All Consuming Grace Podcast, Paul and Rebecca Turner shift the focus from Satan’s identity to his activity—his sphere of operation in the world today.

Scripture reveals Satan as the traducer—the slanderer and deceiver—and his arena is this present world. Though fallen, he still exercises real influence, working through systems, cultures, and hearts in an effort to advance his ultimate agenda: to be like God and to draw worship to himself.

Every scheme, every lie, every distortion in this spiritual battle serves that singular goal.

Yet this episode is not about fear—it’s about clarity and confidence. While Satan is actively “playing to win,” believers are reminded of an unshakable truth: the victory has already been secured. In Christ, we are not fighting for victory, but from it.
