About this listen
Now in his 90's Neville recalls the early days of immediate care in East Anglia. Inspired following meeting our founder Dr Ken Easton, Neville's pioneering work brought together over 100 GPs, nurses, fire, ambulance and police services along with an innovative communication system to form the Mid Anglia General Practitioners Accident Service (MAGPAS). He describes the early days of the British Association for Immediate Care, of which he was a founding member, and discusses the impact of the introduction of motorways alongside early fundraising efforts.
Interviewed in May 2020 by Tony Kemp.
Theme music: Sahara (Magnus Moone).
