This is episode 4 of the 5-part mini-series that the Fostering Indigenous-led Research Convergence Working Group has put together. These groups were supported by the NNA-CO from June 2023 to May 2025. Their work can be found here. (https://nna-co.org/convergence-research) One of the final products of the FILR group is this podcast mini-series, where each of them curated the content, from guests to topics.
This episode's host is Mary Beth Jäger, with guests Dr. Anamaq Margaret Rudolf and Leasi Vanessa Lee Raymond. Margaret and Vanessa discuss the realities of being Indigenous women experts in their respective fields within the realm of Arctic research. They share thoutfully, truly, and deeply about co-production of knowedge, policy, data, and more. Tune in to learn (and unlearn), reflect, and think deeply about inclusion, power-shifts, biases, and power in politics and academia.
