Summary

“Hey guys, it’s me, Ellie and this is my tiny part of the world a space that represents me and sometimes “us”🤍 Here I pride myself on being honest, down to earth, open, sometimes a bit sweary… but most importantly, unapologetically me. It’s taken me a long time to get here and I nearly at times didn’t , but I made it — just in time for perimenopause (joy 😭). This is a safe, inclusive space for everyone — neurodivergent and non-neurodivergent people, ADHD, autistic and AuDHD minds, men, women, non-binary people, all ages, races, religions, identities, and backgrounds. Whether you’re diagnosed, self-identifying, questioning, struggling, healing, or simply trying to understand yourself better… you are welcome here. Because once upon a time, I needed a space like this — and I felt welcome nowhere. So let’s not recreate that. After years of ADHD masking, autism masking, people pleasing, emotional burnout, and trying to fit into spaces that never fully fit me, I’m now on a journey to better understand myself, my AuDHD brain, and what it really means to live authentically as a neurodivergent woman — whilst training as a therapist, working as a mentor and coach, and occasionally doing motivational speaking. If you’re navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, masking, burnout, executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, overwhelm, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or the emotional reality of being neurodivergent in a world that doesn’t always understand you — you’re welcome here. We also sometimes touch on trauma, healing, relationships, identity, mental health, and nervous system overwhelm… because a problem shared is a problem halved and all that and I’ve had an exciting life (ffs) AuDHD and then some is a neurodivergent mental health podcast hosted by Ellie, exploring the real and often unspoken side of ADHD, autism, and late-diagnosed AuDHD. Expect honest conversations, relatable reflections, and practical insights around: • ADHD and autism (AuDHD) • Neurodivergent identity and unmasking • Executive dysfunction and autistic burnout • Emotional regulation and nervous system overwhelm • Rejection sensitivity and people pleasing • ADHD in women and high-masking autism • Late diagnosis grief and self-acceptance This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about understanding your brain, softening the noise, and feeling a little less alone. ✨ More resources, bonus content and community: audhdandthensome.com audhdandthensome.com/audhdmembership patreon.com/AuDHDandThenSome”Ellie AuDHD of AuDHD and then some. • Man On Pause: Men’s Mental Health & AuDHD
    May 15 2026

In this episode of AuDHD And Then Some, Ellie sits down with Daran, also known as Man On Pause, for an honest and important conversation about men’s mental health, neurodivergence, masking, burnout, and the pressures many men face when it comes to opening up emotionally.

Together, they discuss the impact of late diagnosis, emotional suppression, silent burnout, loneliness, and the reality of trying to function in systems that often don’t support neurodivergent people properly.

As a mother of three neurodivergent and male-born children, Ellie also shares why these conversations matter so deeply to her personally and why creating safe spaces for open discussion is so important.

A huge thank you to Daran for taking the time to join the podcast, share his experiences so openly, and help raise awareness around men’s mental health and AuDHD.

If this episode resonates with you, please remember you are not alone and support is out there.

  • Part One Things “I Feel Too Embarrassed To Admit About ADHD (Respectfully… What The Fuck) “
    May 15 2026

Part one of two…..In this episode of Unmasked: AuDHD Diary Room, I read out some of the things people genuinely feel too embarrassed to admit about living with ADHD and AuDHD — from executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation to overwhelm, waiting mode, overstimulation, avoidance, burnout, ADHD shame spirals, and the exhausting reality of trying to function with a neurodivergent brain.

This is an honest, funny, chaotic, painfully relatable ADHD reflection for anyone who has ever:

✨ sat in a car park unable to go inside

✨ avoided replying to messages for weeks

✨ bought planners hoping to “fix” themselves

✨ felt overwhelmed by basic tasks

✨ struggled with ADHD paralysis or burnout

✨ felt emotionally exhausted by everyday life

These are the raw, unfiltered, unmasked parts of ADHD that many people silently struggle with but rarely say out loud.

    If you’ve ever thought:

    “surely it’s not just me…”

This episode is for you. 💜

    Topics include:

    May 15 2026

In part two of Things I Feel Too Embarrassed To Admit About ADHD, I go even deeper into the emotional, exhausting, overwhelming, and sometimes heartbreaking realities of living with ADHD and AuDHD.

This episode explores the hidden shame many neurodivergent people carry around executive dysfunction, emotional overwhelm, burnout, masking, overstimulation, self-doubt, rejection sensitivity, and feeling emotionally “behind” in life.

    I talk openly about:

    ✨ ADHD shame spirals

    ✨ burnout & mental exhaustion

    ✨ masking and emotional masking

✨ feeling overwhelmed by basic tasks

    ✨ waiting mode & paralysis

    ✨ emotional dysregulation

    ✨ feeling misunderstood

✨ grieving the version of yourself you thought you’d become
