The border sectors vary on their terrain which makes it difficult for migrants to battle, causing a high number of migrant deaths. The majority of deaths occurring to these migrants are not the fault of the border agents but the routes that these migrants are taking. There is a misconception that border patrols wear many hats and have a bad rap, but there are other agencies that deal with other aspects of immigration like prosecution, or even for asylum seekers. Mike shares his involvement in the company Beteran, that emphasizes being a better veteran, but more of a better person to take care of your communities. Mike shares the importance of knowing your purpose in your life, for him it is to help out his fellow veterans, especially when they are transitioning out of the military. Veterans need to change the stigma that we are broken, when the reality is veterans can provide so much positivity to the world and use their skillsets for betterment of their lives.
