Stanley is an attorney, CPA, life coach, and multi-book author focused on two big missions: helping people reach their maximum potential and helping those who need it, to lose weight permanently through healthy, sustainable lifestyle change — without drugs or surgeries. Stanley created The Way of Excellence, a structured personal development system centered on living excellence as a way of life, and he’s written several books on that topic, all of which he's making available on his website. Stanley’s own story is remarkable — he lost over 220 pounds, going from 367 to the 140s, and has maintained that transformation for over 17 years. Today we’ll talk about what really drives lasting change — including willingness, belief, discipline, and commitment — and how to align mindset, healthy eating, and healthy movement for a life that keeps getting better.

Ep. 88 of Conversations with Iris Podcast has Iris sitting down with Chip Scholz. He was a successful executive coach moving fast—until a stroke forced him to stop and rethink how he was living and leading.

In the years since, Chip rebuilt his life and career one small decision at a time. He now works with leaders navigating change, helping them cut through complexity and focus on the choices that quietly shape behavior, culture, and results. His book Small Decisions, Big Shifts grew out of that work—and out of a simple belief: real change rarely comes from big moments, but from the decisions we make every day.

Dr. Manley is a cancer scientist, health equity leader, and longtime patient advocate working at the intersection of biomedical sciences, cancer care, AI ethics, and leadership. As a Black healthcare advocate and founder of a nonprofit focused on cancer health equity, I run an annual lung cancer summit that brings together patients, clinicians, researchers, and industry to co-create solutions to disparities in screening, diagnosis, and treatment. I’ve seen firsthand how algorithms, technology, and clinical systems can either deepen disparities or finally start to close them. On your podcast, I share real stories from communities who’ve been overlooked in cancer care and break down complex ideas about AI, health equity, and oncology into clear, actionable insights. If your audience cares about cancer, technology, and what it actually takes to build a fair healthcare system, I help them understand both the promise and the pitfalls—and what we can do differently.
