Michele is best known for her role as attorney Abigail "Abby" Perkins on the TV series L.A. Law from 1986 to 1991 Her first big role was in the short-lived Steven Bochco series Bay City Blues. When that was cancelled, Bochco kept her in mind and offered her the role on L.A. Law a show that earned her an Emmy nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category in 1989. After leaving L.A.
