About this listen
BooG!e (T-Bo on iCarly), sits down with Dan Schneider, to hear his thoughts after watching Quiet on Set.
At best this was a terrible and toxic working environment. When you factor in it was a kids channel and kids shows and some of your stars were abused by adults on the shows- that shows a tremendous lack of care of which Schneider doesn't really address. "Now I'm older I'd do it differently. "
Re the adult content he seems to be passing that off as people having dirty minds and they were kids jokes that kids liked. He says if they were so inappropriate the studio and producers wouldn't have passed them (this is rubbish as his shows were gold to Nick at that time - he could do anything he liked) - and he also says there were plenty of adults on set who could have said something (no they couldn't Dan you ran a toxic ship remember?) - thus disregarding any responsibility for any of it. Oh wait he'd have a psychologist on the show to make sure the kids knew what they were getting into. Hmm.
At worst this is the stuff on nightmares and conspiracies of silence. Parents desperate to have their kids on a show allowing them to stay over with full grown adults? No. At the other side of the country? nonono! Parents did not report the abuse. This should tell you lots. People working on the shows don't get employed again - simple. So these dark dark people get to make their own world.
I'm not demonising this guy. Not my business. I'm glad he's provided a response to this show. Did he know? I suspect so. If he wasn't involved he certainly protected people and created the environment for this behaviour to go on unchecked. He'd really have done better shutting up as these little documentaries can have a habit of biting your bum when you least expect it.
