The Dedeaux Download Podcast returns with Shotgun Spratling and podcast co-host Kasey Kazliner breaking down USC baseball's final week of the regular season, a hard-fought super-regional-esque series at No. 16 Oregon. They also talk with USC southpaw ace Mason Edwards about his incredible season that earned him Big Ten Pitcher of the Year honors Tuesday.

Shotgun and Kasey take a look at the Trojans' series loss in Eugene where every game was decided by a run, including two games going into extra innings with USC winning the opener 2-1 in 1 1 innings, dropping the middle game 4-3 and then losing a heartbreaker 6-5 in 14 innings on a walk-off two-out suicide squeeze.

Shotgun and Kasey also take a look at where the Trojans stands in the rankings and key resume metrics, including looking at their regional host potential (or lack thereof). They also preview the Big Ten Tournament and the teams USC could potentially face after locking up the No. 4 seed and a bye to the single-elimination portion of the tourney.

To close out the show, Edwards joins the podcast to talk about what he did over the offseason to take such a giant leap from contributor to one of the best pitchers in the nation. He discusses how he reworked his breaking ball and how he's able to now manipulate it into multiple offerings.

Edwards also chats about the program build the Trojans have undergone under head coach Andy Stankiewicz, the relationship he has with USC pitching coach Sean Allen and why he's confident the men of Troy can go on a run in the postseason.
