    Mar 30 2026

On the morning of August 27, 2009, a man walking his dog made a devastating discovery at Caldwell Fields, a campground in the Jefferson National Forest near Blacksburg, Virginia.

In a parking area, two Virginia Tech students - 18-year-old Heidi Childs and 19-year-old David Metzler - had been shot and killed.

  • 129: MISSING: HaLeigh Cummings
    Mar 23 2026

In the early morning hours of February 10, 2009, Ron Cummings returned to his home in Satsuma, Florida after work and learned that his five-year-old daughter, HaLeigh, was missing.

The side door was propped open with a dirty cinder block he had never seen before, and the babysitter told him she had no idea what happened.

A massive search for HaLeigh began, but there was no sign of her anywhere.

More than 17 years later, her disappearance remains unsolved, and detectives are still searching for answers about what happened that night.

At the time of her disappearance, HaLeigh was five years old. She was between 3' and 3' 3" tall and weighed about 39 lbs, with blonde hair and brown eyes. HaLeigh has several identifying features. She has a four-inch round birthmark on the lower left side of her back, along with two birthmarks on her face - one on her left cheek and another along her right jawline.

If you have any information in HaLeigh’s case, you are asked to call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 1-888-277-8477. There is a $15,000 reward available.

  • 128: MURDER: The Blue Ridge Savings Bank
    Mar 16 2026

On May 16, 2003, a silent alarm was triggered inside Blue Ridge Savings Bank in Greer, South Carolina. When officers arrived just minutes later, they found the bank empty and the cash drawer cleared out.

In a small utility room at the back of the building, they made a devastating discovery. Head teller Sylvia Holtzclaw, along with customers Dr. Eb Barnes and his wife Maggie Barnes, had all been shot and killed.

Surveillance footage from inside the bank was missing. Grainy video from nearby gas stations showed a red car speeding away from the area, but investigators were never able to identify the driver.

More than 20 years later, the triple homicide at Blue Ridge Savings Bank remains unsolved, and detectives are still searching for the person or people responsible.

If you have any information, please contact the FBI Office in Greenville, South Carolina at (803) 551-4200 or the Greer Police Department at (864) 848-2151.
