It stars Paul McGann and India Fisher, with Alex MacQueen as the Master and Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks. Written by Robert Valentine and directed by Barnaby Edwards, the story was produced to celebrate Big Finish's 25th anniversary. So what did we think of it?

On June 10, 2026 we finally learned the fate of Doctor Who, at least for the foreseeable future. The promised Christmas episode is cancelled, and Russell T Davies and his production company Bad Wolf are out of the picture. What does that mean for the future of our favorite franchise? We tackle that question best we can and hopefully offer some hope at the end. This episode was recorded live on YouTube the night the news came out, and we take comments and questions from our viewing audience.

In 1974, Doctor Who returned for its 11th season and after a brand-new title sequence, the audience is treated to a new alien menace and a new companion in a pseudo-historical adventure. Josh, Ashley and Alan revisit this Third Doctor classic and talk about the new Pertwee, the introduction of Sarah Jane, potato-headed toads, and Dungeons & Dragons.

First, though, we get into new streaming news, Ncuti Gatwa on SNL UK, and speculation about the upcoming Christmas (or is it Easter?) episode.

In 1995, a Doctor Who-adjacent independent film called Shakedown: Return of the Sontarans was released by Dreamwatch Media. Written by Terrance Dicks, it starred Sophie Aldred, Carole Ann Ford, Jan Chappelle, Brian Croucher, and Michael Wisher. The Sontarans track down a Rutan to a solar racing ship the Tiger Moth and are willing to kill all the humans to wipe it out. The Sontaran leader and the ship captain make a deal ... but can either of them be trusted?

First, though, we have some Doctor Who news to talk about, and we share some stories from the recent sci-fi convention Stellar Fest.

Grant as the NINTH Doctor, Sophie Okonedo as Alison, and Derek Jacobi as the Master (...sort of!). It's a fascinating chapter in the history of Doctor Who!

The Doctor and Donna meet Agatha Christie and discover the truth behind her mysterious disappearance in 1926. So cue up the episode, start it at the same time we do, and enjoy our commentary!

This week Josh, Ashley and Alan return to the exciting days of the Wilderness Years, when all sorts of things were happening to keep the Doctor Who franchise active and vital. In the early 2000s, one of the BBC's innovations was doing animated webcasts. A Cyberman story called "Real Time" was their second one, starring Colin Baker, Maggie Stables, and Yee Jee Tso. It is historically significant for a number of reasons. Let's just say ... opinions differ on how good this one is!
