In private emails reported by multiple outlets, Anna told Josh his father was a "dead-end road" and that the family had been negative toward him since he was ten. She described the Duggar machine's dysfunction with surgical precision — and never acted on it. She vented to the one person locked in a cell who couldn't use it, and performed for the system everywhere else. She looked at the exit and walked back. Kendra Duggar married Joseph at nineteen and has reportedly sided with the Duggars over her own parents — the parents who stood with the alleged victim and lost their home and income.
