True flourishing in life isn't found in achieving the American dream, but in putting Jesus first in everything. God's recipe for the good life has remained consistent throughout Scripture: seek first His kingdom and righteousness. This requires whole life love that engages every part of who we are, everyday formation through constant saturation with God's word rather than occasional inspiration, and kingdom-first priorities that direct every decision. You cannot follow Jesus while trying to lead your own life - someone must lead and someone must follow. When Jesus is truly first, everything else finds its proper place and life transforms from the inside out.

The prophet Habakkuk's journey from doubt to unshakeable faith reveals how genuine trust in God is formed. Real faith emerges through authentic encounters with God's holiness, learns to trust before seeing outcomes, and finds joy in God's character rather than circumstances. Habakkuk demonstrates that true faith doesn't demand God remove our mountains, but trusts Him to give us strength to climb them.
