Can life be hard and good at the same time?
After Mother’s Day, I found myself reflecting on the tension so many moms feel every day — joy mixed with grief, gratitude mixed with exhaustion, peace mixed with uncertainty and anxiety mixed with desire for wisdom in motherhood.
In this episode, we talk about the “duality” of difficult seasons and what Scripture shows us about walking through hardship with faith.
Through Psalms 40, 61, and 62, we look at David’s life during some of his darkest moments — betrayal, loss, fear, and uncertainty — yet we also see his continual praise and trust in God. So many great Bible verses for anxiety seen in David's emotionally charged Psalms.
What stood out to me this time reading the Psalms was this: David understood that God was doing something bigger than his immediate struggle.
In my quiet time, God used Psalms 40, 61, and 62 to show me that hard seasons can still point us — and others — to the hope and faithfulness of a Sovereign God.
What if our struggles are not only shaping us… but also pointing others toward Christ?
In this episode we discuss:
- Why two things can be true at once
- The danger of staying stuck in complaint
- How gratitude changes our perspective
- Why your children are watching your faith
- How to share God’s goodness even in difficult seasons
- But more importantly, how responses to hard times potentially affects others
Life is hard. But God is still faithful. And our hope in Him outweighs it all.
ENJOY friends and HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
