• Unshakeable Under Pressure
    Mar 24 2026

How do you stay grounded when the world starts closing in? In this week’s message, Pastor Ben Hill explores the life of Stephen—the first Christian martyr—found in Acts 6:8 through Acts 7:60. Stephen wasn't just a man of faith; he was a man who remained completely unshakeable while facing false accusations, intense public pressure, and eventually, the end of his life.

Through this deep dive into the book of Acts, we discover three vital lessons on how a relationship with Jesus allows us to withstand the crushing pressures of our modern world.

    1. Shine with His Presence

When Stephen stood before the council, they didn't just see a man; they saw a face like that of an angel. Pastor Ben draws a fascinating parallel to bioluminescence in the deep sea. Just as the Anglerfish generates its own light to navigate the absolute darkness and immense pressure of the ocean floor, a believer can radiate the light of Christ even in the darkest circumstances. We aren't called to just "get through" hard times, but to reflect God's glory within them.

    2. Speak with His Power

Stephen’s defense wasn't an apology; it was a masterclass in God’s history. He walked his accusers through the four great covenants:

    • The Abrahamic Covenant: Seeing God’s presence outside the promised land.
    • The Story of Joseph: Finding a redeemer rejected by his own brothers.
    • The Sinaitic Covenant (Moses): Understanding that God is not confined to a building or a temple.
    • The Davidic Covenant: Recognizing that the Most High dwells in hearts, not just houses made by hands.

Pastor Ben uses the downfall of Kodak as a warning: companies—and churches—that refuse to adapt or recognize the new thing God is doing risk becoming obsolete. We are called to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow where He leads, rather than resisting Him.

    3. Surrender to His Purpose

The episode concludes with the ultimate test of faith: surrender. As Stephen was being stoned, his final act was one of radical forgiveness, echoing Jesus on the cross. This kind of grace is still visible today, as seen in the 2019 Dallas courtroom when Brandt Jean publicly forgave and hugged the woman who had taken his brother's life. It is this total surrender to God’s purpose that truly changes the world.

Are you feeling the pressure of life? This episode is a reminder that you don't have to break. You can shine, speak truth, and surrender to a higher purpose through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Listen now to find your footing in an unshakeable faith.

  • Unstoppable
    Mar 11 2026

In this week's message from the Enduring Grace Sermons podcast, Pastor Ben Hill dives into Acts 5:12–42 to share a powerful truth: the Gospel of Jesus Christ is unstoppable.

Pastor Ben opens with the heroic true story of the 1925 Nome, Alaska serum run, where mushers and sled dogs braved -50°F temperatures to save a city in crisis. He uses this illustration to show that when people rally behind a singular, life-saving cause, they can achieve the incredible. In the book of Acts, we see the apostles rally behind the greatest cause of all: bringing eternal life to a dying world.

In this episode, Pastor Ben outlines four core truths for every believer:

    • Walking in God’s Power: Understanding that we are like "power strips"—useless unless we stay plugged into our Power Source, Jesus Christ.
    • Trusting God’s Provision: How God provides for our needs in every season, even miraculously opening prison doors to ensure His mission continues.
    • Obeying God Over People: The courage required to prioritize God’s commands over the pressures and expectations of the world.
    • Resting in God’s Prevailing Will: Knowing that while the plans of man may fail, God's purpose for His church will always succeed.

Join us as we explore what it looks like to live a life fueled by the Holy Spirit and a faith that cannot be silenced.

  • Empowered For The Mission
    Jan 26 2026

What if the reason you’re exhausted in your Christian life is simple: you’re trying to run on power you don’t have? In Acts 2:1–21, Pentecost shows us the church was never meant to operate on human effort, personality, or grit—we were meant to be connected to the Holy Spirit.

In this message, we walk through three keys to living empowered for Christ’s mission:

    1. Live Spirit-Filled — stop “rowing” and learn to “set your sails” to the Spirit’s power.
    2. Love Across Barriers — the Spirit creates a gospel community where outsiders become family and everyone can hear “the mighty works of God.”
    3. Lead with the Word — the Spirit creates the moment, but Scripture explains the meaning and makes the gospel clear.

And we close with a reminder from Acts 2:21: you can’t push your way into new life—you call on the name of the Lord and be saved.
