The Bible warns us that we live in dangerous times due to increasing persecution and three loves that oppose God’s saving love: love of self, love of money, and love of pleasure (2 Timothy 3, Jude). Many profess Christ but have fallen away from Him. I begin the new season of “On This Rock” with an episode that focuses on contending to remain in God’s love, especially during challenging periods of testing and personal struggle. I draw from biblical doctrine, personal experience, and the story of Job.
