The Man-eaters of Tsavo is a 1907 book by John Henry Patterson, a British railway engineer, detailing his firsthand account of hunting two man-eating lions that terrorized workers building the Uganda Railway in Kenya in 1898.
This book is one of my favorites and has been a part of my life since childhood.
The book describes the lions' attacks, which halted construction and killed nearly 140 people, and Patterson's efforts to kill them, which involved facing challenges like floods and worker mutinies, and ultimately became a classic adventure and hunting story.
