About this listen

Black historians talk about forgotten black figures from Africa, the Caribbean and the US as well as the continued presence of black people in the UK before during and after the period. Activists, musicians, athletes, writers, and artists whose histories have been forgotten – or erased.

A wonderful series of peeking in the eccentric and curious Edwardian Era with the added humour of Stephen Fry. Edward VII, Fray Bentos and Cheddar Gorge a highlight for me. Loved the Victorian series too. Georgian next please and keep them coming!! Splendid presentation thank you.

Loved it!

Fascinating and informative. We need more discourse like this. Great interviewees as well. More please I'm this vein.

ignore 'woked' comment. this was refreshing. there's a wealth out there. I'd only just delved into this period. more honest delivery/content of this kind please!

refreshing.

Predictably this is not so much an honest delve into British history as a delivery channel for modern obsessions around race and gender. Had to stop listening after a while.
