A woman waits for her husband to arrive home from a business trip in this closely observed, masterfully crafted story. The evening before her husband is due to return, the woman fusses over her outfit, plans her journey to the airport by tube and obsessively checks the airline website.

The next morning she arrives early at the airport, ready to welcome him home. We feel her worry and anticipation, desperately longing for a happy reunion.

The narrators were v good - the stories, whilst competent & well written weren’t well suited to audio - I had to keep rewinding bc they don’t hold the listener. The exception was Joanne Harris’s
