I was recently in a room full of women my age — millennials and Gen X — gathered to learn from a woman who is genuinely excellent at what she does. I'm talking senior in her field and decades in. We were there to receive her professional expertise, the kind that can only be built over real time. And somehow, the conversation kept turning to Gen Z and Gen Alpha, about their discernment, and their freshness, how the future belonging to them. And I found myself in the room thinking: why are we skipping ourselves?
