Summary

England's most capped men love rugby. Ben Youngs is a scrum-half so he’s spent most of his 127 games chatting away to team-mates, opposition and referees. His mate Dan Cole is still in the England squad, and has cult hero status thanks to his no-nonsense approach to most of life’s events. They’ve spent 20 years together at Leicester Tigers, toured together for the British and Irish Lions, and now podcast together every week. They'll bring you their ultimate guide to rugby's biggest games, give you a behind the scenes tour of Twickenham, and tell you what really happens inside an England camp. They’ll also have guests, and they will be some of the biggest names in rugby.Crowd Network Rugby

  • The Debate to End the Small Ball Debate & Ruby Tui’s Big News
    May 13 2026
World Rugby’s controversial decision to trial smaller rugby balls in the women’s game is up for debate as Ruby Tui and Shaunagh Brown chime in on one of rugby’s biggest talking points. Plus, Ruby finally reveals the answer to the question fans have been asking — where will Ruby Tui play next? The pair also break down the biggest moments from the penultimate round of the Guinness Women’s Six Nations, including the standout battles and players making headlines ahead of Super Sunday. And with the championship on the line in Bordeaux, what do the Red Roses need to change in their game if they want to beat France and win another Women’s Six Nations title? Ruby and Shaunagh discuss what could decide the trophy. Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. has announced two new UK partnerships in women’s rugby, driven by a shared belief that investing in the women’s game creates impact well beyond the pitch. Through a formal partnership with the Rugby Players Association’s Thrive programme and Mitsubishi Electric’s Parallel Potential platform, the combined goal is to provide athletes with meaningful career support during, and beyond their playing careers. In addition, Mitsubishi Electric has become an official partner of Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR), strengthening its commitment to the domestic league and the continued growth of the women’s game. • Going to the Pub with Mack Hansen: Rugby's Wildest Character
    May 10 2026
In quite possibly the loosest episode of For The Love Of Rugby, Ben Youngs and Dan Cole are in Galway for a pint with one of Ireland rugby's favourite sons: the man, the myth, the Mack Hansen. From sunny Canberra to the wild west of Ireland, Mack opens up about his journey through rugby, life in Galway, and what it meant to tour his homeland of Australia with the British & Irish Lions. Dodgy trims, naked wrestling and tattoos of legendary coaches: this is how you become an off-pitch icon. 🏥 Use code LOVEOFRUGBY to get 20% off your first Thriva blood test: http://thriva.co/ 💳 Use code FTLOR100 to get £100 cash reward when you spend up to £500 in your first 30 days. Literally laughing to myself whilst driving to work. Asokute blast. The lads make it feel like you're sat in a pub with them having a yarn over a pint. Will definitely listen regularly. Hear about it from Joe Marler's podcast and I'll be bouncing between the two.

Not sure if you check reviews on Audible, but if so lads, my two kids and I would love some garage England merch 😅. They love going to see Sale Sharks (don't hold that against us, we're Northern!). 😉 I'll be in touch on Instagram 😁

Laugh out loud fun!

This is my absolute favourite podcast. Laid back and relaxing to listen to. Ben and Dan give a great insight into the professional rugby world, giving us a new perspective on things that we wouldn't normally see from the outside. Not only that, but the stories are hilarious and I often find myself re-listening to episodes to hear them again. I would highly recommend this podcast to all rugby fans, and any people trying to get into rugby too!
