  • What Happens In Vegas... The Jeffrey Carlson Interview
    Mar 30 2026

My guest for Season 2, Episode 20 for Gen X Marks The Spot Podcast is Jeffrey Carlson a Las Vegas–based rock vocalist, guitarist, and frontman known for delivering high-energy, arena-style performances in both full-band and acoustic formats. A veteran of stages across the U.S., he’s played iconic venues like the Whisky A Go-Go and House of Blues Las Vegas and has shared stages or collaborated with artists including Phil X (Bon Jovi), Lita Ford, Slash, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and Tesla’s Frank Hannon. Through the Jeff Carlson Acoustic Rock Show and his original music, he brings the power, feel, and crowd connection of classic 80's arena rock into a raw, stripped-down live experience. In this episode we discuss current rock news, his new music with the band #liquidsky and how he is a survivor and advocate of #chronesdiseaseawareness. When two Gen Xer's have a conversation about 80's rock music, good times come about. Don't miss this episode!

  • Hue Have to Hear This – The Message of Violet Blend
    Mar 24 2026

SPECIAL EPISODE: For Season 2, Episode 19, in Honor of National Women’s History Month, my guest this week is Giada Celeste Chelli (vocalist) of Violet Blend, an Italian alternative rock/metal band formed in Florence in 2014. Known for their high-energy, sound blending rock, punk, and metal, they have released the albums White Mask (2017) and Demons (2021) and are currently working on a new album. As to why I chose Giada as my guest this week, with being #nationalwomenshistorymonth which honors the contributions of women to history and society, Giada is making a huge difference in Italy as an advocate for social issues, especially with a current campaign against stalking, to which she was a victim herself. Through her experience and advocacy she wrote a song called #thereignofsadness which is currently available for streaming and developed a role playing board/card game called #TalkOrStalk to heighten the awareness about this act of violence. The game is available for purchase on Bandcamp and through social media links. This week's episode is sure to impactful and educational that you don't want to miss. If you find this episode enlightening and educational please share.
