With the series-clinching win, Vegas advances to the Western Conference Final for the fourth time in seven seasons, where they’ll face the Colorado Avalanche.
Meanwhile in the East, the Montreal Canadiens took control of their second-round series with a high-scoring 6-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center. Nick Suzuki starred with a goal and two assists as Montreal grabbed a 3-2 series lead heading into Game 6 at the Bell Centre.
