This is a visualisation exercise for birth. It is a simple yet powerful mental imagery practice designed to help you reduce anxiety, relax deeply, and build confidence as you prepare for labour.
You are guided to imagine calming scenes such as gentle waves, a peaceful safe place, or a flower slowly opening. Practising this regularly during pregnancy helps your body learn how to access a deeper sense of calm and trust.
In this exercise, I also use NLP with anchoring. While you are in this relaxed visualisation state, a gentle touch on your body is used to create an anchor. This becomes a resource you can return to during labour.
You can then practise this during pregnancy and use it in labour, helping you reconnect with that same feeling of safety, ease, and confidence whenever you need it.
