  • Opposites - judge and shepherd - 21st June 2026
    Jun 24 2026

On Father’s Day, as we celebrate and dedicate baby Levi, we explore a powerful truth about the character of God: He is both Judge and Shepherd.

At first glance, these images seem like opposites - one speaks of authority, justice, and leadership, while the other speaks of care, guidance, and protection. Yet in God they are not opposites, nor a tug-of-war, but instead exist in perfect harmony.

We reflect on the truth that sheep are safe because they have a shepherd who is BOTH gentle and strong.

Whether we are parents, leaders, or followers of Jesus, we are called to embody that same kind of balance - to be gentle and strong, and to create spaces marked by both healthy boundaries and loving care.

  • Last words from the cross - "With me in paradise"
    Jun 24 2026

As we come to the communion table again, we continue our series on the final words of Jesus from the cross.

Looking at the thief on the cross, we hear Jesus say "today you will be with me in paradise" and we discover a powerful picture of God’s grace and the simplicity of salvation. With no opportunity to earn forgiveness, perform good works, or put his life right, the thief simply recognised his own need, acknowledged who Jesus was, and asked for mercy.

This message reminds us that salvation is a gift received through faith, not something we achieve through our efforts.

  • Opposites - servant and king - 31st May 2026
    Jun 24 2026

Jesus is both King and Servant - a truth that challenges how we live, lead, and serve. In this message, we explore the powerful contrast at the heart of Christ’s character: the King of Kings who chose to humble Himself, take the form of a servant, and even wash His disciples’ feet.

Looking at Philippians 2, John 13, and other key passages, we consider what it means to follow the example of the Servant King in our own spheres of influence.

How can we lead with both courage and humility, authority and compassion, strength and service? Join us as we reflect on “the crown and the towel” and discover what it means to become more like Jesus.
