Henderson Castle was built as a symbol of wealth and permanence...something meant to outlast the man who created it.

More than a century later, the structure still stands, but the purpose has changed.

Guests and staff have reported footsteps, voices, and encounters that don’t seem tied to any single moment in the building’s history.

And for one couple in 2023, the experience didn’t feel like something from the past.

It felt immediate.

In the late 1960s, a serial killer hunted college towns in Michigan, targeting young women who trusted the people around them.

For two years, fear spread across Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti as bodies were discovered and the violence escalated. Police searched for someone unstable, someone obvious… someone who looked like a threat.

At the bottom of the Great Lakes, the dead don’t disappear.
