About this listen

She came in with a problem.

Security versus freedom. The safe life versus the one pulling at her from somewhere she couldn't quite name.

She wanted to make a decision, pick a side and commit to a direction.

Within twenty minutes she'd stopped looking for the answer out there.

She'd been doing it her whole life: school grades, job scorecards, waiting for someone to tell her she was headed the right way. And somewhere in all that waiting, she'd lost contact with the part of her that already knew.

When she found it, she cried.

Not from sadness, but from recognition.

By the end she wasn't talking about the decision anymore. She was talking about the shame she'd carried around needing other people to create with and then she let that go too.

She left with one next step and a different relationship to everything she'd been fighting.
