Eleven years after one of Ghana's darkest days, the pain still lingers.
On June 3, 2015, devastating floods and a deadly explosion at the GOIL station at Circle claimed more than 150 lives and changed countless others forever. While the nation mourned, survivors and families of victims were left to rebuild lives marked by loss, trauma, and unanswered questions.
In this episode, we remember those who never made it home, hear the haunting experiences of survivors, examine the support that followed—or failed to follow—and ask whether Ghana has truly learned from the tragedy.
As floods continue to threaten communities every rainy season, we explore the root causes, the promises made, and the uncomfortable question that remains eleven years later:
Have we done enough to ensure that June 3 never happens again?
A story of grief. A search for accountability. A reminder that remembrance must be followed by action.
