About this listen

Welcome to Lectio Div Catholic Gospel. Part of my daily prayer as a Catholic, lectio divina has helped me grow closer to God and to the way that I practice my faith. There are different methods for doing lectio divina that include reading, meditation, prayer, and contemplation. Join me as I use lectio divina as I understand it as a way of reading Scripture and praying through God's word, which leads always into a deeper relationship with him. While I am only a learner, my hope is that your own practice of lectio divina opens wide for you the door to Christ.Lectio Divina Daily Christianity Spirituality

  • "For which of these are you trying to stone me?" | Friday of the Fifth Week of Lent
    Mar 26 2026

"For which of these are you trying to stone me?"

In this reflection for the Friday of the Fifth Week of Lent, we contemplate Jesus’ steadfast witness in the face of opposition. Drawing from John 10:31-42 and the prophetic courage of Jeremiah, we explore how Christ’s "good works" reveal His divine union with the Father and invite us to remain confident in our own mission today.

  • "May it be done." | Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord
    Mar 24 2026

    "May it be done."

Celebrate the moment that changed human history. In this reflection on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, we dive into the Gospel of Luke (1:26-38) to witness Mary’s profound "Fiat."

With just a few words, Mary opened the door for the Word to become flesh. We explore:

    • The angelic visit of Gabriel.
    • The power of Mary’s courageous questioning and ultimate consent.
    • How we can apply her example of faith to our own difficult paths.

"For nothing will be impossible for God."

Join us for this Lectio Divina reflection and a closing prayer for the grace to seek and do God’s will in our daily lives.
