Just two months before the murder, Marlene's husband was lured to his car dealership by a fake police call and robbed at gunpoint of approximately $15,000. Authorities never established whether that robbery was connected to Marlene's murder. Over the years, they attempted to link her murder to Henry Lee Lucas.
