Episode 2: The Marketplace Malcontents
Before we close today, I need to speak directly to someone listening right now. You know exactly who you are. You’ve been sitting in the marketplace your entire life. You’ve been critiquing the church, critiquing the Bible, and finding flaws in Christians as a defense mechanism—because as long as you keep pointing the finger at everyone else, you don't have to look at your own uncalibrated heart.
You are exhausted. You are carrying the crushing weight of your own sin, your own rules, and your own compromises.
It is time to stop playing games. Jesus Christ didn't come to argue with you in the marketplace. He came, taking on flesh, living the perfect life of rectitude that you and I could never live. He took the violent penalty of your sin on the cross, and He rose from the dead to offer you a completely new baseline.
You cannot rewire your own heart. You cannot save yourself. But if you will step out of the crowd today, drop your excuses, and surrender your life to Jesus Christ, He will give you a new heart. He says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you."
If you have never submitted your life to Christ, do it right now. Right where you are. Tell Him, "Lord, I am done moving the goalposts. I am a sinner. I need your grace. I surrender my life to you. I am stepping under your yoke today."
If you just made that decision, everything changes from this moment forward. You have just entered the kingdom.
