  • Tear Through the Roof | Desperate Faith & Determined Friends | Luke 5:17-26
    May 27 2026

Four men had a friend who couldn't get to Jesus on his own. So they carried him. When the crowd blocked the door, they climbed to the roof and cut a hole in it.
Jesus saw their faith — and changed everything.
In Luke 5:17-26, we encounter one of the most vivid scenes in all of the Gospels. A paralyzed man. Four determined friends. A packed house full of religious leaders. And a moment that forces everyone in the room to decide what they actually believe about Jesus.
This message is for anyone carrying a burden they can't fix on their own. And it's for anyone who has someone in their life who is far from God — someone who needs friends willing to tear through every obstacle to carry them to Jesus.
Big Idea: Jesus still responds to desperate faith. The greatest miracle in this story wasn't the man walking — it was the man's sins being forgiven.
    In this message:

Why Jesus dealt with the sin before the sickness — and what that reveals about what we need most
The obstacles that keep people from coming to Jesus today
What determined, carrying friendship actually looks like
Why Jesus is not merely a great teacher or miracle worker — and why that distinction matters

  • You Can Be Busy for Jesus and Still Miss Him | Luke 10:38-42
    May 11 2026

She was doing everything right. The cooking, the serving, the hosting — all of it good, all of it important. And Jesus didn't rebuke her for any of it.

But he did tell her she was missing something.

In Luke 10:38-42, we meet Martha — a woman who is working hard, serving faithfully, and slowly coming undone. And when she finally speaks up, Jesus doesn't fix her to-do list. He redirects her heart.

This message is for anyone who has been so busy doing good things that they've drifted from the one thing that matters most. It's for the person who has been in the kitchen for a long time — serving, providing, holding everything together — and hasn't stopped long enough to just be with Jesus.

Big Idea: You can be doing a lot and miss what matters most. The presence of Jesus isn't found when everything else gets done — it's found when you choose to slow down and be with Him.

    In this message:

Why busyness — even godly busyness — can become a spiritual danger
The difference between serving Jesus and sitting with Jesus
What Jesus actually said to Martha — and what he didn't say
A practical next step for protecting the one thing that can never be taken away

  • The Narrow Door | Don't Just Stand Near It | Luke 13:22-30
    Apr 27 2026

Jesus said something that stopped people in their tracks — and it should stop us too.

In Luke 13:22-30, someone asks Jesus a simple question: "Lord, will those who are saved be few?" Jesus doesn't answer the question. Instead, he turns it around and makes it personal. Don't wonder about everyone else, he says. Strive to enter through the narrow door — because many who think they're in, won't be.

This is one of the most sobering passages in all of Scripture. And Jesus said it because he loved people too much to let them stay comfortable in a false assumption.

Big Idea: The door to salvation is narrow. The opportunity to enter is limited. The decision to choose is personal. Strive now to enter through Jesus Christ.

    In this message:

What Jesus actually meant by "strive" — and why the word should shake you
The difference between knowing Jesus and knowing about Jesus
Why the prosperity gospel is a lie — and what Jesus actually promised
What it means that the first will be last and the last will be first
Why the door is still open — and why it won't always be
