Summary
Once, Lord Vishnu told Sage Narada that He was thirsty and asked him to bring water from a nearby village. When Narada Muni returned and spoke again with Lord Vishnu, he realized that everything that had happened was an illusion (Maya), because of which he had forgotten his original task of bringing the water.
This story teaches that Maya (illusion) can cause a person to forget their true duties; therefore, remembrance of God and dedication to one’s responsibilities are considered most important.
