Have you ever been in a place where someone of great position and stature walked into the room and completely changed the dynamic of it? Even though this week's passage is just six verses, we will see a figure that looms large: The person of Jesus Christ. People have different ways of doing things. Whether that be a task or a job, there is more than one way to accomplish them. When it comes to the topic of salvation, there are truly only two ways people approach it: Man's Way or God's Way. This Sunday we will look at Jesus' interaction with the rich young ruler where he will attempt to achieve salvation man's way but Jesus will point him to the reality that salvation can only happen God's way. We often ask the wrong questions. Fortunately, Jesus always answers the right question. This Sunday we will look at a group of people trying to trap Jesus with a question about divorce. This is an extremely important question, but not the first one we should be asking.
