  • Close Calls & Chaos: Grymkin Schemes And Tag-Team Dreams
    Mar 23 2026

We're back with another deep dive into Warmachine, where the dice were questionable, the plays were clutch, and the teamwork paid off. Tony and Angus break down a hard-fought tag-team victory against Paul and Chris, running their AdeptiCon prep lists and testing out key tweaks. From clutch positioning and lane-clearing plays to standout performances from models like the Vorogger and Winter Guard, the game came down to coordination and capitalizing on openings. Even with some brutal dice luck on both sides, the duo managed to swing the mid-board brawl and secure the win and proving that smart plays can overcome bad rolls.

The conversation then shifts into AdeptiCon prep, list adjustments, and whether certain models (looking at you, Mailis and Craghorn) are worth the slot. From fury management mistakes to control vs aggression debates, there’s plenty of tactical reflection as the team gears up for one last practice game.

Finally, the crew dives into Grymkin lore and theorycrafting, uncovering surprising origins, discussing caster options like The Dreamer, The Child, and The Heretic, and brainstorming everything from competitive builds to completely unhinged ideas like including the infamous “eight incorporeal crabbit” list. It’s a mix of battle recap, strategy talk, and wild list-building energy. All while keeping the focus on what matters most: the community, the laughs, and the game beyond the dice.

  • Road To Adepticon
    Mar 16 2026

In this episode, we switch things up a bit! Angus joins remotely as the team experiments with a new recording setup, Chris is out for the night, and returning guest Jon jumps back in to talk Warmachine, recent games, and the road to Adepticon. We kick things off with a look back at a recent practice match where Tony and Jon teamed up for a 50-point practice Adepticon duos battle. What followed was a tough learning experience against some skilled opponents from Franklin. From rough seas shutting down ranged attacks to a battlefield full of stacked buffs, the we see the break down what went wrong, what went right, and the lessons learned along the way.

We also recap our Sunday gaming session where Tony and Angus teamed up against Jon and Paul in another team battle scenario. There were big plays, unexpected survivability, a heroic war dog holding down a hill, and a few tactical mistakes that kept things interesting right up to the end. Along the way the discussion covers list building, faction synergy, model performance, and how different strategies played out on the table. We also talk about upcoming plans for Adepticon, the Content Creator meetup, trying out new games like Trench Crusade, and what we’re most excited to see at the convention.

Whether you’re prepping for your next tournament, learning a new army, or just enjoying the hobby side of War Machine, this episode is full of insights, laughs, and plenty of tabletop storytelling. Because as always… we’re Not Just Tactics.

  • Ragemonger Unleashed: Trollkin Lore and Tabletop Mayhem
    Mar 9 2026

We sit down and catch up on our recent hobby progress before diving into the lore of the Trollkin warlock Ragemonger. Tony shares a recent game story where his son Jon showed strong improvement and even managed to defeat him after a dramatic assassination attempt failed by a single hit box.

The main discussion focuses on Ragemonger’s backstory. Once a proud Trollkin warrior, he arrogantly ignored his elders and hunted a young Gorgandur to prove his strength. The act led the creature’s parent back to his village, resulting in the destruction of his entire creel. Consumed by guilt, Ragemonger began seeking increasingly dangerous battles, hoping to die gloriously in combat to atone for his mistake. Despite repeatedly throwing himself into deadly situations, fighting raiding warbands, monstrous beasts, and other overwhelming threats. He just always survives through a mix of skill, luck, and strange twists of fate. His repeated survival leads some followers to believe he is unkillable.

Eventually, Ragemonger joins the Brineblood fleet and continues hunting powerful enemies. In one notable encounter, he battles a massive shark, even stabbing it from inside after being swallowed. The creature eventually beaches itself and expels him alive. He then adopts a shark pup named Kharka and files his teeth into shark-like points in honor of the battle.

We also briefly discuss his tabletop rules, highlighting that he is a highly aggressive melee-focused cavalry warlock designed to support Trollkin and Dire Troll models. His abilities reward charging into combat and buffing nearby allies. The episode closes with light banter about army lists, hobby projects, and plans for the upcoming Adepticon, where they hope to meet listeners and play games. See you all soon.
