Summary
Olivia Strong didn’t set out to raise £8 million or create a global movement.
Lockdown 1 had just been enforced across the UK and whilst out running in Edinburgh she had a small idea to encourage her friends to donate money to the NHS. Her target was to raise £5k. Within a month she’d raised £5 million and launched an initiative that swept across the nation. In the first episode of The Doing Effect we learn more about what encouraged Olivia to get started and how her and her team built a global community whilst the world was forced to isolate.
