Andrew Biswell speaks with David Govier, an expert in the preservation of audio recordings at Manchester Central Library, who has been exploring ways in which to preserve and digitise the Burgess Foundation’s large collection of reel-to-reel and cassette tapes, some of which have not been heard for 50 years.
