ROCK the MIC" is a youth-led podcast from Jewel Human Services’ ROCK Initiative, created by YATVAC, designed to empower young people and support positive youth development. Through guided discussions, mentorship, and hands-on podcasting experience, participants build communication, leadership, and media literacy skills. The program engages youth in producing original content, giving them a platform to share their perspectives while gaining practical skills that support workforce readiness. Outcomes include increased self-confidence, improved teamwork and collaboration, enhanced digital media proficiency, and strengthened civic engagement, preparing participants for success in school, careers, and their communities.
