    Joe Deninzon is an electric violinist and vocalist who also plays guitar and mandolin. He's the leader of his band Stratospheerius and joined the progressive rock band Kansas in 2023. This elite musician has played on records and/or toured with icons like The Who, Bruce Springsteen and Richie Blackmore - just to name a few. Multi-award winning music director Ray White caught up with Joe during a recent break in Kansas' 2026 tour. He fills us in on his early breakout years, his latest album with Stratospheerius called Imposter! and how he was tapped by Kansas to to serve as their new violinist.     Carbon Leaf recorded their first album in 1995 and haven't looked back since. Today, with over a dozen albums released as a leading independent band, they have been tapped for a handful of national awards - many for their outstanding songwriting talent. Multi-award winning program director Ray White hooked up with their frontman Barry Privett who filled us in with his insights into the bands' early years along with their latest release Time Is The Playground.     Randle Chowning founded the Ozark Mountain Daredevils in 1971. As Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, he was with the band during their heyday from the early to mid 1970's. After leaving the band Randle teamed with fellow Daredevil bandmate, Larry Lee, to form Beyond Reach. Throughout the years he has also released numerous solo projects including many of his friends. His latest compilation is titled Sworn Testimony. Randle joins your host, Ray White, and takes you down memory lane from his Daredevil days in the 70's until now. In our showcase segment we have the spotlight on the frontman for Wet Willie, Jimmy Hall, who's featured on our Episode 111. His latest release is Ready Now.   • CAT Episode 209 - Robin Batteau (Batteau/Buskin & Batteau/Pierce Arrow)

    Robin Batteau is a renowned violinist, singer/songwriter and producer. He's played with Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston and Judy Collins - just to name a few. Clive Davis, the legendary music mogul, signed Robin and his brother David to a recording contract back in 1971, releasing "Batteau" on Columbia Records. Robin later hooked up with David Buskin forming the folk/rock duo of Buskin & Batteau. You'll also find him in the band Pierce Arrow, earlier in his career. A Grammy and Emmy award winner, his most listened to work was that of television and radio advertising jingles for McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Chevrolet and many more companies. Robin's latest solo project dives deep into his Greek studies, giving him inspiration for the album Banned in Sparta. Several of his friends including Tom Paxton and Livingston & Kate Taylor join him. Ray White, a multi-award winning program director, captures many of Robin's career highlights in this episode.     Kim Simmonds stood among the world's greatest Blues Rock musicians. He founded and was the leader of Savoy Brown until his passing on December 13, 2022. Throughout the years Kim released over two dozen Savoy Brown albums and several as a solo artist, too. His wife Debbie Simmonds and friend Bob Schaffner join us to talk about the release of his book, Street Corner Talking, The Autobiography of Kim Simmonds that was released in January of 2026. They touch on several of the highlights of Kim's life and career. As a special treat, Ray White digs back in our archives and shares part of our interview with Kim, conducted in 2007, when we talked about Savoy Brown and then new CD release, Steel.
