Prior moving to Seattle in the summer of 2023, I created a new mixtape series called Alki Sessions, taking a deep dive into Progressive House, Organic House, and Melodic House & Techno. Those are usually the elements I start my Transcension sets with, but having a couple progressive shows over the summer of 2023, I wanted a new electronic series that focused on that. I did Ten episodes in 2023, but only released 9 on Mixcloud. This was the original song order of episode 010 before taking a two year hiatus and moving over to Podomatic and Apple Podcasts. One of the cool things about this series is that I get to give people an inside look at some of my sets, which is why I call them "sessions." This mix was an audition I did for Q Nightclub in Seattle to open for the duo Twinsick. The nice thing about having Dizz Global Radio is that it allows me to showcase various forms of mainstream electronic music. After a successful debut at Vice Seattle, the following week I started making my move to Portland. Wednesdays and Thursdays were my days off during my summer job at Enterprise, so a visit to Open Decks at House Wednesdays with Shay Baca was definitely in order. Before the main House Wednesday lineup starts, Open Decks are held for the first two hours, and occasionally I get to do a set. In Season Two, I'll bring you a video set I did back in February—I'm thinking about uploading the video itself or extracting the audio. I like open decks because it allows me to experiment with music—either tracks that have worked well in previous sets or something new I’d like to test live. During the summer of 2025, while working a full-time job at Enterprise at SeaTac, I still kept my ear to the ground with music. It was the first job in 22 years that didn't involve a DJ booth. I had a 60-to-90-minute commute to work via bus, light rail, or the West Seattle ferry, and I always listened to music en route. That Friday-to-Tuesday schedule mirrors Dizz Global Radio now, and on my days off, I'd work on the few mixes I put out. This is another open decks set, recorded at Ora Nightclub on May 31st—my 23rd DJ anniversary. Thank you for lending me your ears and for your continued support as we take a dive into some techno!
