Example 1 — Early career / recent graduate

"I recently graduated from university with a degree in Business Management, where I developed a strong interest in marketing and communications. During my studies I completed an internship at a local agency, which gave me hands-on experience working with clients and managing social media campaigns. I'm now looking for a graduate role where I can build on that experience and really grow within a professional team — and this position stood out to me immediately."

    Example 2 — Mid-career professional

"I've spent the last eight years working in project management, primarily in the technology sector. I started out as a junior coordinator and worked my way up to leading cross-functional teams on large-scale software rollouts. I'm particularly proud of a recent project where we delivered a system migration six weeks ahead of schedule. I'm now looking for a senior role where I can take on greater strategic responsibility — which is exactly what drew me to this opportunity."

    Example 3 — Career changer

"My background is in secondary school teaching, where I spent seven years developing my communication, leadership and organisational skills. Over time I became increasingly drawn to the training and development side of education, and I realised that my real passion lies in helping adults reach their potential in a professional environment. I've recently completed a coaching qualification, and I'm now actively looking to transition into an L&D role — this position feels like a natural next step for me."

Though english is my first language I have recently moved to UK and a lot of phrases used were just flying right over my head!

She not only explains it all properly, its put in right context, sounded well and alternatives for different context.

The narrators voice is brilliant!

Phrasing, wording all clear!
