The Edmonton Oilers had one of the busiest—and perhaps most impressive—days of any team in the NHL on July 1st, and Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are here to break it all down on today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday.

The boys kick things off by diving into the blockbuster trade that sent Darnell Nurse to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for promising young defenceman Shakir Mukhamadullin. Perhaps even more impressive, Stan Bowman was able to move the entire contract without retaining any salary. Tyler and Liam will break down the trade from every angle, discuss what Mukhamadullin brings to the Oilers, and debate whether this could end up being one of the biggest moves of Bowman's tenure.

But the work didn't stop there.

Bowman stayed busy throughout free agency by signing veteran defenceman Ryan Shea, bringing back Kasperi Kapanen, adding experienced goaltender Frederik Andersen, veteran fan favourite Max Jones, and acquiring young netminder Devon Levi from the Buffalo Sabres. Despite all of the activity, the Oilers still managed to maintain valuable cap flexibility heading into the rest of the offseason. The boys will evaluate each move and discuss how Edmonton's roster stacks up after an incredibly active opening day of free agency.
